A Barna study from 2009 revealed that about 67% of Christians either don’t believe Satan and his demons are living beings or they don’t know.

What does the Bible say?

1 Peter 5:8 ESV  “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

That’s pretty clear.  The devil is alive and active and on the move.

1 John 2:13b & 14b (ESV) 13b I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. 14b I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

The scripture is clear that we have a real enemy, but it is also clear that he and his acomplices are all created beings. The King has already won this fight and as followers of Jesus we stand in the authority that He gave us and push back and destroy the work of that enemy.
