A Believer Who:

  1. Understands Authority
  2. Learns that all Authority has been given to Christ
  3. Learns that we are one with Christ

Will be strengthened to stand against all the ‘fiery darts’ of the enemy.

In the midst of the battle – we have help. Not only do we have the Holy Spirit, we also have Angels.

So let’s talk about Angels for just a few moments.

Things To Know About Angels:

  • Angels Are Very Loyal To God.                                                                                                                      In Joshua 5 we read about a moment that the children of Israel were going out to battle and an Angel appeared. As Joshua approached him, he asked the Angel if he was for Israel or their enemy and the angel replied neither – I’m with God. You will never encounter an Angel of the Lord and be left with the impression that God is unable to do what He said He will do.
  • Angels are Messengers.
We find them all through scripture delivering messages. An Angel appeared to Mary saying she would be the one to give birth to Jesus, An Angel appeared in dreams to her husband Joseph to give him direction.
  • Angels Encamp Around & Deliver Us.
In the story of Daniel, Daniel tells the king that God sent his Angel to shut the mouth of the lions.
    Psalms 34:7 NKJV
The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.”
  • Angels Fight For Us.
So many places in the Old Testament show Angels fighting for God’s people. There is an account of one angel killing 185,000 soldiers. Listen to what Jesus tells Peter in the Garden just before he was crucified.
Matthew 26:52-54 NKJV But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?”

Invisible Kingdom – Far too often we focus our attention on what is seen and experienced in the natural sense-ruled world. It’s what we daily find ourselves interacting with and attempting to understand. But as followers of Christ, we are called to live and operate out of a different kingdom. An invisible kingdom. In this series, we want to grasp a more accurate  understanding of the spiritual warfare that surrounds us and how we are called to live in authority and dominion over the forces of darkness.
